In 2016, The NDSA (Nottingham and Derby Society of Architects), in collaboration with RIBA and the Creative Quarter, presented ‘Nott Forgotten’; a Design Challenge which sought to re-imagine ‘forgotten’ sites within the city of Nottingham.
The Nott Forgotten challenge aimed to shine a spotlight on problem sites within the historic Lace Market area of Nottingham and, through an open design competition, transform one of these sites via the introduction of a built architectural intervention. Alongside well-established architecture studios, it also engaged with local schools, colleges, and both the University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University included the design challenge in their academic programmes.
I was responsible for creating the entire visual identity and accompanying promotional print and digital assets to engage and attract contestants to take part in the challenge.
“Working with Dan is a pleasure. He will listen with care, then offer back to you much more than you expect. Almost without instruction, Dan gave us everything we needed and more. We will definitely use him for the next project.”
