Miscellaneous ephemera.

Apalusa is my long-running experimental/ambient/electronic/drone project. I’ve provided soundtracks for short films, composed music to accompany a novel, I very occasionally put records out, and even less frequently play live. A new album/multimedia project is currently in the works.

Apalusa Bandcamp Previously unreleased archive material. Pay what you want, if you want.

Low Point Records The excellent Low Point has put out my last few official releases. Also home to many other incredible artists.

Music.

I played guitar in Souvaris between 2004 and 2012. Instrumental Post-Rock with a krautrock/disco edge. We were moderately popular for about 5 minutes.

Souvaris Bandcamp Most of our recorded output can be found here. Our first album - ‘I Felt Nothing At All’ - is long out of print, but talk of a remastered version making an appearance has been circulating for the past decade or so.

The final ever Souvaris show A sweaty and emotional night in Nottingham.

Gringo Records UK underground rock institution Gringo Records looked after us very well, and continue to release fantastic music to this day. The world is a richer place for their very existence.

From 2012 - 2014, I had the privilege of recording an album and touring with Liverpool’s Ex-Easter Island Head as part of the Large Electric Ensemble - a piece in four movements written for 14 “prepared” guitars and a drummer. The collaboration culminated in a performance at Supersonic 2014 alongside Swans, Matmos, Jenny Hval, Wolf Eyes, Karen Gwyer, Sleaford Mods, and many others. Currently a 4-piece collective, they continue to make some of the most beautiful and compelling music I’ve ever heard.
